Just like telling a story in the words of a poem, you can also tell a story in thread and fabric. Unlike a canvas of threads, narrative stitching – uses very simple line. Narrative stitching is imperfect  and beautiful showing the hand of the maker.

Listen to the process of journaling with thread, talk about the meditative process of daily stitch practice. Learn simple stitches such as the running stitch and the back stitch. Learn simple techniques of “drawing” with thread. See examples of Journal stitches used on cotton napkins, pillows and eatables. Go home with an 8×8 block which is the beginning of your stitch journey.

Bring your own scissors, any embroidery threads you own. Everything else will be provided.

Refund Policy:

A full refund will be issued for withdrawals of more than 14 days before the class. Students withdrawing 2-14 days will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued with less than 48 hours.
