The Beach to Bay Heritage Area (BBHA) is one of thirteen state-certified heritage areas which aims to to preserve, protect and promote the cultural, natural and historical heritage of Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.
Our heritage area is packed full of heritage places to visit and explore. Countless historical sites and markers help tell our history here. On top of that we have several other attractions that contribute to our Shore culture. Restaurants, Farmers Markets, and Distilleries help define Shore life and are popular ways to savor our cuisine.

Located on 101 N. Division Street is a marker dedicated to the three African Americans lynched in Salisbury between 1898 and 1931. Two of these people are named: 18 year old Garfield King in 1898 and 23 year old Matthew Williams in 1931. This train station, built in 1900, was once part of the Baltimore, Chesapeake, & Atlantic Railroad, which had bought the Wicomico & Pocomoke Railroad Company in 1894. Recently opened in 2016, this distillery has been making a name for itself in the liquor business. It is know for distilling spiced rums and vodka and has received over 40 awards, including Maryland Run Distillery of the year.
