Milky Way Photography Workshop

Dates and Times:  (Please note that the times are different for each day, AND the Saturday session is in the very early morning hours offsite.)

Friday, April 17th 6:00 – 8:00

Saturday, April 18th  1:00 AM (approximately)  OFFSITE (location will be shared with participants)

Sunday, April 19th 1:00 – 3:00

Cost: $125.00 member  $150.00 future member

Join Jim Halvoresen as he teaches you how to capture the Milky Way! This very unique photography workshop is an outstanding opportunity for photographers to learn the skills for a starlit night!

This workshop will begin Friday evening with a class to teach set up for this unique photo shoot. Specifics about the offsite, early morning photo shoot will be discussed during the evening session.

Then – meet Jim at the designated location for an incredible experience of capturing the Milky Way with your lens!

Finish up on Sunday afternoon with Jim to teach you how to complete the final touches so you finish with incredible photos.

Please note that in the event of poor weather, the early morning session may be pushed to Sunday morning with a follow up class on Monday.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Digital camera (SLR or mirrorless) and owner’s manual

Wide Angle Lens – 24 mm or less preferred with fast aperture (preferable f2.8 or less)

Tripod

LED headlamp with red light option

WARM clothing

Gloves – not mittens
