The Allen Historical Society Lecture Series continues with a fascinating upcoming lecture.

On Sunday, September 14, at 3 PM in the sanctuary of the Allen Asbury Church (26639 Collins Wharf Road, Eden) artist, author, and historian, Andy Nunez, will present a lecture on Pirates on the Eastern Shore – a subject about which he is an expert and has published. This event is free.
Mr. Nunez has a degree in art and is an artist, military historian, editor of a war-gaming magazine, a treasure hunter, novelist, and more. He has written at least four books about the Eastern Shore.

This lecture on Piracy will talk about the famous pirates with activities on the Shore, plus the misdeeds of local pirates (theft, arson, kidnapping).
Refreshments and a short reception will follow the presentation.
