Traditional Mexican folk art vividly expresses Mexico’s rich cultural heritage, blending Indigenous, Spanish, and African influences. Handmade pottery, textiles, wood carvings, and papel picado reflect themes of nature, spirituality, and community. This exhibit, on display January 16-March 13 at the Museum of Eastern Shore Culture (218 West Main Street), showcases traditional works alongside George Rodriguez’s ornate ceramic sculptures, which explore sociopolitical issues, identity, and culture celebrating both diversity and shared human connection. An opening reception is 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 16.
