Salisbury University hosts Michelle Scott, a professor in the History, Africana Studies, and Gender, Women’s +Sexuality departments at University of Maryland, Baltimore County and author of TOBA Time: Black Vaudeville and the Theater Owners’ Booking Association in Jazz Age America. Scott discusses how the Black theatre industry’s off-stage labor concerns evolved to combat increased national segregation. Light refreshments served.
