Community Players of Salisbury were a recent recipient of a Beach to Bay Heritage Area Mini-grant. The grant is being used to roll out a production of “Paths to Freedom: Uncle Tom’s Cabin and the Underground Railroad on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.” The production is based on the novel, Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Audience members, including children, will learn about the causes and effects of the novel, as well as its impact on the Underground Railroad. Free admission, call to reserve at 443-235-3272, donations are welcome. There will be multiple showings with the dates and locations listed below:

Sept. 16 at 7pm: Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center, 424 Race Street, Cambridge

Sept. 21 at 7pm: Kylan Barn, 30603 Dusty Lane, Delmar
Sept. 22 at 7pm: Christ Methodist Church, 211 Phillip Morris Drive, Salisbury
