Wicomico, Rockawalkin, Wighcocomoco, Pocomoke. Familiar local monikers have a complex history that members of the Pocomoke Indian Nation have been researching through colonial-era documents. This presentation takes you on a journey along the rivers, paths and bridges that composed the Pocomoke and other Algonquian groups’ ancestral landscapes, and still shape our familiar surroundings.
