You won’t believe the variety of birds that inhabit the coastal bays behind Assateague Island and Ocean City during late October! Delmarva Birding Weekends is teaming up with the OC Bay Hopper to run a Sunset Seabird Safari on October 29 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm (sunset is 6:03 pm). Participants will investigate the bayside docks in Ocean City from M.R. Duck’s south to the inlet (there are often good birds hiding out there!), then cruise by the Assateague jetty. From there, they’ll explore the bayside of Assateague Island south towards Castaways campground, then back to the harbor. The cruise will feature a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain and a DBW Guide, so guests will be in good hands.
