4-Week Winter Mosaic Workshop

Participants in this workshop will meet weekly for this workshop. The cost of the workshop covers all four weeks. Please note that the cost for the workshop covers all four weeks.

This beginner mosaic class will teach students the basics of making mosaics. Participants will learn a brief history of mosaics from ancient Greek and Roman works to contemporary artists working today. Seeing these works will give students inspirations and ideas for a possible mosaic piece. Students will be guided on how to plan for a mosaic, what surfaces to use, what materials to pick, how to place the mosaic pieces, how to cut mosaic materials, how to glue pieces and how to grout the final piece which will be an 8×8 mosaic. This will be a 4 week class with each class being 2 hours. All materials and tools included in the cost of tuition.
