Salisbury University welcomes preeminent scholars of Asian history to discuss thought-provoking studies of imperialism in Asia. Each visiting scholar gives a talk on their area of expertise, followed by a moderated discussion making interdisciplinary and transnational connections, as we consider re-evaluating the global history of the foundational and troubling phenomenon of imperialism that still has repercussions today. Louise Young, Professor of History at University of Wisconsin-Madison presents “Japanese Empire in History and Memory” 7 p.m., Thursday, March 28, in Conway Hall Room 153.
