The Maryland State Archives will be having their Lunch & Learn: Black Lives in Focus: African American Faces from Early Maryland on October 12th. This program is virtual and presented by Ross J. Kelbaugh who will be discussing photographs of early Black Marylanders from the Ross J. Kelbaugh collection which was recently acquired by the National Gallery. This collection is the largest of its kind in the state and features portraits of free and enslaved Black Marylanders going back as early as 1750. Registration is not necessary, but it is encouraged.
