Wednesday, March 27th
Begins at 7:00PM
Salisbury University’s Environmental Studies Colloquium series returns this spring with four engaging presentations. “Paddling the Delmarva Peninsula: More Than Just Sightseeing” is the topic discussed 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Henson Science Hall room 243. In 2012, outdoor recreation consultant Laura Scharle set a goal to circumnavigate the entire Delmarva peninsula by kayak. What was to be a fun way to see the sights and get outside more often turned into an 11-year journey of growth – physical, professional and emotional — through 600 miles of stunning scenery and local culture.
